About Us
Ashdown Arts was established in 2009 to create a community of local artists and craftspeople in the Forest Row area in East Sussex. The group has been instrumental in bringing together artists and artisans of all disciplines and we currently have over 40 active members. We organise two major exhibitions each year, in spring and autumn, where you can buy high quality, affordable art direct from the person who created it. We also hold a number of other pop-up exhibitions and workshops which vary from year to year.

Interested in joining Ashdown Arts?
Are you an artist or crafter living in our local area, and interested in showing your work in public? We warmly welcome new members. It costs £10 to join, followed by an annual payment of £10 each April. There is also a small charge for exhibiting, just sufficient to cover our costs.
Ashdown Arts is an artists' collective. We have no paid staff, so members need to be willing to help out with the myriad tasks involved in preparing for, setting up and running our exhibitions. It is all very congenial, and a great way to meet other local artists, so we hope you will join us.
