I come from Ashurst Wood and recently retired from SEND teaching. I am now enjoying a focus on pottery and fortunate in having my own studio now. I work mostly on the wheel but also with hand building. I love the Art of the Underglazes, as it provides a more abstract approach for my pieces; these tend to be more functional than decorative. Glazes can provide some intriguing results, so experimenting with them is what fascinates me. I also work as a freelance Makaton Tutor training adults and children in Communication and Language skills.
