People have always interested me and after retiring I was free to realise a childhood ambition.

I was inspired by working with Jeremy Gale who had a metaphysical and Chinese approach which was immensely liberating  and then learning a more classical approach with David Cranswick.

For four years I worked with the Homeless people in Crawley Open House drawing their portraits, which were put into a book to help raise money for them.

I like to work in oils, endeavouring to find the soul essence of those I am privileged to have sit for me and to hear their stories, for everyone has a story to tell!
