Stefania Priori
Painter and Photographer
Stefania Priori is a British painter known for her vibrant, colour-driven abstract works created over more than a decade. Born in Bristol and raised in East Sussex, she began her career in graphic design before returning to her true passion for painting in oils and acrylics. Her work is shaped by lifelong interests in archaeology, ancient history, Egyptology and early civilisations, blended with influences of the cosmos, spirituality, Aboriginal and Indian art, impressionism and pointillism.
Travels to Egypt, The Gambia and Australia deepened her reflections on culture, fate and identity. Following a difficult period in 2008 and a diagnosis of bipolar disorder, Stefania channelled her experiences and emotional landscape into bold, textured pieces that aim to move the viewer at a soulful level.
She has exhibited across the UK, including Chequer Mead Theatre, Christian Community Church, Ashdown Arts, Crowborough Community Centre, London’s Brick Lane Gallery, and internationally at the Monaco Art Fair with Madrid’s Van Gogh Gallery.
