I am a Sussex based artist living in Forest Row.

Living on the edge of Ashdown Forest provides a wealth of inspiration, particularly in the early dawn or last light of the evening.

A keen outdoor sports enthusiast I have a love for Cornwall and the Mountains which adds a further dimension to my work.

The colours at the beginning and end of the day have strongly influenced my palette, recently expanded by the discovery bright neon paints.

I work predominantly with watercolours for smaller works and oils for my larger landscapes and seascapes. Recent work has explored added texture by using palette knives to mix and mold paint directly on the canvas.

If I had a tag it would be the ‘Frow Fauvist’ a driving influence being a quote from the original Fauvist Andre Derain:
